An access controller is a professional element for the protection of perimeters and gates. They are located in safe and hidden places, allowing the connection of the readers, which are placed in the visible place of the installation and identify the user who wants to access, as well as the connection to the electronic locks, which will be activated if the user is allowed access.
This controller supports readers based on the Wiegand protocol, which allows the connection through direct wiring of each reader to the controller. It has 2 readers to perform entry and exit at each door.
This model has 1 relay output, being configurable as dry contact (without voltage) or wet contact (with voltage).
By using an access controller, it is possible to ensure certain functions, such as opening all doors when a fire signal is received or triggering an alarm when a forced door is detected. Thanks to its inputs and outputs, it is possible to manage these functions in a simpler way.
Many installations require special functions, such as anti-pass-back technology (does not allow a person to pass through if he/she is already inside).
From the software iVMS-4200 you can configure users, schedules and access groups, as well as special functions, relay opening times or reader reading time.
