A stand-alone access control device consists of a combination of a controller and a reader in a single unit: is able to identify users, decide whether or not they have permission to access the installation and operate the electronic lock through its relay.
This equipment allows identification through cards or key fobs with RFID EM technology of 125 kHz and MF of 13.56 MHz, NFC and Bluetooth.
In many installations special functions are required, such as anti-pass-back technology (does not allow a person to pass through if he/she is already inside) and 12 VDC output (allows direct power supply to the electronic lock without the need for an additional voltage source as the equipment is powered by standard PoE).
Thanks to its outdoor protection IP65 it can be installed outdoors. In addition, its IK07 anti-vandalism rating allows it to withstand the most challenging environments.
From the Akuvox Cloud, the configuration of users, schedules and access groups, as well as special functions, opening times of the relays or reading time of the readers is performed.
